The All-New 2023 Toyota Crown

Welcome Back, 2023 Toyota Crown USA

Since 1955, Toyota has produced the luxurious Crown in Japan. Between 1958 and 1973, drivers in the US could purchase the Crown until Toyota replaced it with the Corona Mark II. But at the end of 2022, the Toyota Crown will return to dealership lots. At Toyota dealerships, like Bohn Brothers in Harvey, the Crown will replace the outgoing Avalon, but the incoming Crown will have a design like no other, with an interesting mix of sporty sedan and roomy SUV.
Expected Performance Features

Buyers will be able to choose from two hybrid powertrains. The first is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with three electric motors and a continuously variable automatic transmission. This powertrain comes standard on the XLE and Limited trims.

The Platinum trim has the Hybrid Max powertrain with a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder and rear-axle-mounted electric motor paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. The upgraded Toyota hybrid system will deliver 340 horsepower. All models have all-wheel drive and a gentle suspension designed for the luxury-auto buyer. The Platinum trim will have adaptive dampers for a bit of fun with the turbo kicks in.

What’s In the Toyota Crown 2023 Interior?

Toyota knows how to build a luxury vehicle, and the automaker has proven it continuously with the Lexus lineup. The Crown will have a comparable luxury interior with clean and uncluttered features and a higher seating position than the typical sedan. All trims will have eight-way power adjustable heated seats and ambient lighting. The automaker will add leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof to the Limited and Platinum models.

The Crown will come with plenty of tech features including a 12.3-inch digital display and a matching 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other luxury features include a wireless charging pad, USB-C ports, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. The standard sound system has six speakers, while the top two 2023 Crown trims have an 11-speaker JBL stereo.

The sophisticated and modern Crown will have the high-tech Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite of safety features. The advanced collection includes Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Automatic High Beams, Road Sign Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane Tracing Assist, and Lane Departure Alert.

The unique exterior of the Platinum trim has a unique two-tone paint style that pairs a black roof with the painted body. The other two trims have a single paint color.
