Drivers have the option of selecting the Hybrid 2.5L 4-cylinder engine that’s paired with an Electronic Continuously Variable Transmission. The engine can deliver 176 horsepower and 163 lb-ft of torque, but when combined with the output of the electric motor, the vehicle produces 215 net horsepower. As for the fuel economy, this engine achieves an EPA estimated 43/44/44 MPG city/highway/combined.1

Interior Features & Technology

The 2019 Avalon comes outfitted with the Entune™ 3.0 Audio Plus infotainment system. This system includes a 9-inch touchscreen display that includes voice recognition, giving drivers the option of selecting their media preferences by touch or by using voice commands. The vehicle includes an AM/FM/HD Radio®, USB and auxiliary inputs for external media devices, Bluetooth® streaming and hands-free phone use, and 3-months of SiriusXM® Satellite Radio.

The Entune™ system includes Apple CarPlay™ compatibility to sync your phone to the screen, and even Wi-Fi Connect through Toyota Connected Services, so you can access your features, apps, and the web right from the road. This even includes Remote Connect, which allows you to unlock, locate, or even start your vehicle remotely.

The 2019 Toyota sedan comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense™ P, which is a collection of driver-assisting technology features to add more safety, security, and convenience to your experiences on the road. All of the features utilize exterior-mounted radar sensors to measure your speed while factoring the lines in the road or the distance from the vehicle ahead.
