2018 C-HR: An Exterior Walk-Around

If anything is true about the 2018 Toyota C-HR, it’s that it takes its inspiration from the diamond. Its precision-cut lines give it a distinct silhouette from every angle, and those standard halogen headlights with uniquely clustered LED Daytime Running Lights are like diamonds in themselves, with that sleek and chiseled shape.

At the rear, you’ll find an aerodynamic rear spoiler that adds some sporty style to the C-HR, while helping it glide through the air unopposed. With sharp available R-Code paint colors, like Ruby Flare Pearl and Radiant Green Mica, each set against an Iceberg White roof, the Toyota C-HR has unique, head-turning looks you can customize.

A Look at Interior Design & Aesthetics

The cabin of the Toyota C-HR is very well put together, with that diamond-inspired design making its way into the fabrics that upholster this vehicle. From the driver’s seat, the C-HR is quite a luxurious and comfy place to be, with a standard leather-wrapped steering wheel and satin-plated shift knob, for a feel that’s upscale and sporty all in one.

The standard 7-inch infotainment touchscreen sits atop the center stack, although “stack” may not be the right word here. It’s raised over the instrument panel in a sea of elegant piano-black, giving the impression of it floating in place. The screen and switchgear are tilted slightly toward the driver for easy access to its features, like iPod® connectivity and Bluetooth® wireless technology.

Checking Out C-HR Performance Specs

Under the hood of the 2018 Toyota C-HR, you’ll find but one engine option: a 2.0L I-4 designed to deliver the ideal blend of fuel economy and handling performance. Paired with a standard CVT, it has 144 horsepower and 139 lb-ft of torque on tap. It’s the perfect engine for all your around-town driving.

That engine is light on fuel, too, with a manufacturer-estimated 27 city and 31 highway MPG.1 Test drivers have found it to have excellent handling, and with features like a sport-tuned suspension and Sport Mode, you can enjoy a livelier, more comfortable drive with impressive cornering capabilities.
